The Great American Songbook is a canon of the most important and influential popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century. The Songbook includes pieces by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Richard Rogers, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer and many others.

Gerard Edery received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York City. An accomplished classical and musical theater singer, he has performed over 30 roles with opera companies all over the United States. Highlights of Gerard Edery’s extensive concert career have included performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The United Nations, Victoria Hall in Geneva, The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Royce Hall in L.A., The Smithsonian Institute, the Fez Festival of Sacred Music, the Festival Cervantino in Mexico, the Vilnius International Folk Festival, the Pax Sacred Music Festival and the Klaipeda Concert Series in Lithuania; in Poland he has been the featured performer at concert venues in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Bialystock and Radom, to name a few. Gerard has also recorded 17 CDs on the Sefarad Records label and released a much acclaimed Songbook.
