song of the turtledove

A World Music Chamber Opera
Freely Adapted from the Biblical Song of Songs

A woman dreams of love and through the depths of her longing, love comes. Passion is celebrated culminating in a wedding ceremony that unites the lovers.

Weaving Sephardic, Flamenco, Jazz and Eastern European Hebraic traditions, the audience is slowly enveloped in an atmosphere both erotic and exotic. A  tapestry that becomes an unending song of joy.

Song of The Turtledove was developed at the prestigious Eugene O’Neill Theater Festival and presented at Premieres Music-Theatre Festival at Lincoln Center in NYC.
